The New Year brings changes to the Family Health Centers

News

For two years, the Family Health Centers (FHC) has been preparing to make a big change to its electronic health record system. On January 3, 2023, FHC will makes its official transition to it’s new health record system, eClinicalWorks.

What does this mean for patients?

  • In January, 2023 FHC will reduce the number of appointments available to help our staff learn the new health record system. Appointment availability will increase in February.
  • If you have an appointment early in 2023, your appointment may take a little longer.  Please be patient with our staff – new things can be challenging.
  • This is a great opportunity to sign-up for the new Patient Portal.  All you need is an email address to get started. Its easier than ever!
  • In the coming months, FHC will roll out its new Video Visit Platform and Online Appointment Scheduling.

Why make the change?

Family Health Centers medical records first went “electronic” in 2013.  A lot has changed in those ten years and technology has gotten better. The new Family Health Centers health records system better meets the needs of our providers and our patients.
