My interest in Community Health started when I was working as a registered nurse in Emergency Medicine. I became frustrated that marginalized groups were coming to the ER with serious, untreated conditions because they lacked good primary care. I decided to return to school to pursue my Nurse Practitioner so that I could make a meaningful impact in preventative care in the communities I care for.
Recently my family relocated from the Northeast to Louisville. I’m excited to be here and back in Community Health. I’m also excited for milder winters, excellent food, warm strangers, and the welcoming and diverse people here.
When I’m not being a nurse practitioner, I love to travel with my husband and kids, I love the ocean, and I love caring for my chickens and goats, and generally trying to be open to new experiences and adventures.
