DONATION DRIVE IN SUPPORT OF ITS PHOENIX HEALTH CARE FOR THE HOMELESS LOCATION
Annual GoFundMe Donation Drive is the Utmost Holiday Gift for Those in Need
(Louisville, KY- December 4, 2023) Family Health Centers’ Phoenix Health Care for the Homeless, located at 712 East Muhammad Ali Boulevard, continues its commitment this holiday season to eliminate homelessness for those in need, one person at a time. The facility provides Permanent Supportive Housing to 150 formerly homeless individuals, many of whom will move directly from the streets or shelters into brand-new apartments.
Each year, the need becomes more and more significant as the number of men, women, and children in the Phoenix housing program continues to grow. FHC relies predominantly on donors from the public sector to serve its clients. At this time of year, especially when so many are in need, Family Health Centers has created a GoFundMe campaign, “From Your Heart to our Home,” with a donation goal of $5,000. Donations to the campaign will support purchasing essential home goods for persons who are homeless or in shelters.
Melissa Noyes Mather, MPH, and FHC Chief Communications Officer, explains, “These donations provide essential items for those moving into our Phoenix location to begin a crucial new chapter in their lives, in a home that the public is helping to create through donations. This initiative aims to improve housing by purchasing furniture, cookware, linens, and everything one needs to start a new life.”
