Julia Richerson, MD, FAAP

I have been a pediatrician since 1997. After training at the University of KY and UCLA I practiced at White House Clinic -McKee for 6 years before moving to Louisville. I have been in Louisville since 2003 taking care of children and families at the Family Health Centers Iroquois office in South Louisville. I have a special interest in working with refugee and immigrant families. I believe families are incredibly powerful and strong families are the foundation for a strong and healthy community.

I am active in child health advocacy and serve in leadership positions at the local, state and national level. I received the Lois A. Baker Exemplary Service Award from the Kentucky Primary Care Association in 2016 and the Don Cantley, MD Community Service Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics, Kentucky Chapter in 2010. In 2018 I was awarded the Centers for Disease Control HPV Vaccination Is Cancer Prevention Award for Kentucky.
