For more than 20 years, I have worked in the mental health field. My experience includes working with adolescents, adults, and families in a number of capacities in the following settings: residential, in-home, outpatient, and inpatient. I employ an eclectic approach using various therapeutic methods including person-centered, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, existential, and narrative. Much of my career has focused on these areas: depressive disorders, bipolar and related disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I am a mentor and a clinical supervisor for social workers seeking independent licensure. I was nominated for the Bridge to Light award.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and rescue dog, listening to records, watching science-fiction television shows, being in nature, and traveling.
